I started working with my coach in the fall of 2016. I still remember our conversation: he saw something in me and knew he could help me become successful with my goals. He told me “I think you are going to be my spokesperson someday”. From that initial interaction I knew I had the best coach. Over the years he has developed and customized approaches to diet and nutrition for me, depending on the goal I had at the time. Initially my goal was weight loss- I was over 200lbs and just wanted to lose fat but maintain muscle. Once that goal was achieved I decided to set some pretty crazy fitness goals for myself- competing in a figure show, competing in a powerlifting meet (in which I placed second!), running in a half marathon and eventually a full marathon! he was with me, every single step of the way. His flexible and practical approach to dieting and nutrition helped me to achieve my goals and re-examine my relationship with food.
One thing he has taught me is that food is not the enemy, and that dieting does not have to have such traditionally negative connotations. He does not just work with his clients on their nutrition for physical health reasons, but also to help his clients with their mental health. I know he is invested in the work that he does, and genuinely cares about the people he works with. As busy as he is, he always made time to come watch me compete in my various competitions and continues to support me in my future goals. With him I truly feel that the sky is the limit and that I can achieve any goal I set. I’m a very busy mom of two young children that used to be morbidly obese. My coach has taught me how to get the most out of my life and I am happier physically and mentally than I have ever been.
