I have always struggled with my weight. I tried all the fad diets and my weigh yo-yoed around for a long time. When I got pregnant with my first child I was already at my biggest and was not ready for all the shots pregnancy was going to throw at me. I gained 55 pounds in that pregnancy and after giving birth to my daughter was sitting at 207 pounds. I was very determined to get the weight off. I started my weight loss journey on my own. I started with the basic “healthy eating” and that only got me so far. In my first year postpartum I only lost 15 pounds. I then heard great things about counting Macros. I found a website that told me what my macros “should” be and I did that on my own and got down to about 165 pounds. At that point I plateaued hard. 3 months of working hard, eating right and no weight would come off. I was pretty devastated. I followed RP Strength on Instagram and saw lots of great transformations and took a big leap of faith that they would be able to help me get my body to where I wanted to be. I purchased the Fat Loss Templates and decided I would follow the diet plan to the T just so I knew I couldn’t go back and say it didn’t work. When I got my templates it was exactly what I was looking for. I wanted someone to tell me what to eat, when to eat it, how much of it to eat and also not limit me to all type of foods. I did the 12 weeks and lost 18 pounds. It seemed like every day going into the gym I was getting told how small I looked. I was PRing everything and new movements I had never been able to do before. I felt great and was finally starting to look the way I had always dreamed of. Since starting RP I have gone from 32% body fat down to 18%.
Since my first cut I have been hooked. I have used their templates multiple times and continue to do so. I love eating everything in moderation. Because RP gives me that freedom. I love using the massing templates and feeling the effects of more food giving me strength in lifts. I love cutting weight for the CrossFit open to slim down and feel faster and lighter in cardio and gymnastics. RP has changed my life and taught me that food is not the enemy. I can enjoy food and work hard in the gym. I don’t have to starve myself or be super restrictive. I really have tried every diet under the sun and this is the one that has worked for me for the last 3 years and I don’t plan on changing it anytime soon!
